Henriques began his teaching career in 1997 as a high school student at Kamehameha High School. Henriques holds a secondary school diploma from 1997 and a masters degree in physical education from Brown University in 2002.Henriques has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa since 2002. Henriques' contract with UH Manoa is indefinite. Henriques is currently in his second term as an adjunct professor at UH Manoa and is scheduled to end in the fall of 2020.Henriques' most recent teaching assignment has been as a visiting professor in the Department of Communication and Online Learning at Brandeis University. Henriques also lectures occasionally in the Section of Exercise Science at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.Henriques has been a leading advocate for the use of video-based education in physical education. Henriques has written extensively on the use of video-based education in physical education and has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Newsweek. I also learned how to teach physical education as a foundation for other courses. After I received my high school diploma, I was hired as a physical education teacher in 2002 at Brown University in Rhode Island. I was there for two years and then I moved to Hawai'i to teach physical education at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.I have been teaching physical education for over 16 years now. During that time, I have developed a video-based physical education curriculum specifically for high school students. Our curriculum is designed for grades 9-12. Our program is called “Rockne's HS Physical Education Curriculum.” It is based on the philosophies of Rockne Henriques, and it is one of the most innovative physical education programs in the country.Henriques has also been an advocate for the use of audio-based education in physical education.
