A mode choice and traffic assignment model was prepared using Trans-CAD software and calibrated to the updated traffic counts and survey data. The final results were pre-sented in a report to the client indicating the potential passenger numbers at each of the proposed stations. (June 2006 – September 2006, 4 Months) Tamil Nadu Client: Tamil Nadu State Road Authority Prepared a congestion management strategy for the major towns and cities in Tamil Nadu. The project involved a literature review of various congestion management strategies which have been implemented in other devel-oped and developing countries and assessment of the pros and cons of each strategy. A number of strategies were nominated that could be developed further by the client prior to implementation. (April 2006 – September 2006, 6 Months) Indian Roads Project Client: Leighton Contractors India Pvt Ltd Performed the role of Project Manager and Senior Highway Engineer, providing technical assistance to Leigh-ton Contractors during the preparation of tenders for BOT highway projects. Robert managed a team of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Experts in Structures, Pavements, Traffic Studies and Geotechnical areas. Outputs included BOQ’s with estimated costs, preparation of technical reports for structures, pavements and traffic for each project road. The projects are situated in locations around the country which included hill roads and low lying flat areas.
