Rob reports into the UK MD and the global head of Mastek’s Centres of Excellence and shares responsibility for changing the way the organisation adapts to meet ever changing customer needs He also heads the global Project and Programme Management centre of excellence and is responsible for re-defining and shaping the way that Mastek’s delivery leaders engage with customers ensuring that they go beyond the traditional time cost and quality objectives. A focus on customer’s needs and desire to continuously improve the effectiveness of the programmes under his remit is at the heart of the many initiatives that Rob has successfully launched and implemented whilst in this role. Sitting on numerous leadership teams within the Mastek organisation Rob plays a key role in defining Mastek’s propositions of tomorrow and feeding back into Mastek the needs and trends experienced whilst working closely with customers. From April 2014 to Present (1 year 9 months) Group Programme Director @ Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Head of Delivery in the UK, Rob is accountable for a portfolio of programmes with annual revenues in excess of £28m. These programmes deliver benefits to several customers in the Retail, Finance/Insurance and Health sectors. Responsibilities for these programmes include business development, contract management, complete financial management and accountability to both Mastek’s customers and the Mastek UK executive leadership team for the total performance of the accounts. Rob is directly responsible for global programme teams well in excess of 500 full time employees, covering the full bespoke software/application development lifecycle and in-life service management. In this role Rob engages with customers at CIO and board level from the bid phase through to delivery. Delivering significant benefits to customers and increasing Mastek's market share at the expense of other more established supplier organisations has been a hallmark of Rob's tenure at Mastek. Significant achievements to date: • Securing strategic BI/DW partner status for Mastek with a Major UK supermarket chain • Pivotal in establishing Mastek as successful entrant in to the Retail sector • Winning a £23m application service management contract in the Health sector • Revenue and margin improvement on every account including 8 fold revenue growth on a flagship account • Development and nurturing of talent within Mastek – Rob has a demonstrable track record of facilitating individual growth very successfully. From September 2011 to March 2014 (2 years 7 months) Programme Manager @ The CSC- Zurich account is the largest IT outsourcing deal the Financial Services industry has ever seen and involves CSC providing global hardware and application services to Zurich. The Third Party Contracts Programme is an integral part of the Zurich account. The objectives of the programme were to transfer/take on the commercial agreements currently in place between Zurich and the current product/service vendors and deliver savings both at the time of transfer and in-life. Working in a matrixed environment Rob reports directly to the Vice President, Global Programs and Transitions and the Commercial Lead for the account. During his tenure he has overseen the successful completion of all contract transfers/negotiations and the implementation of all necessary commercial agreements required for CSC to deliver its managed services. These contracts have a cumulative value of over $100m per year, covering a 10 year period, and total c1300 in number. Rob is also responsible for optimising the mainframe software agreements and the oversight of their implementation. This optimisation programme delivered savings of c$1.4m per year over a 5 year period. From August 2010 to September 2011 (1 year 2 months) Client Delivery Director @ Working with the UK Commercial Sector of BT Global Services Rob was responsible for reviewing over 20 of their larger and more complicated contracts with a view to identifying opportunities to improve the profitability of the accounts. The findings from these reviews identified savings and opportunities totalling in excess £20m, all of which are now being implemented and realised. In this role Rob was also a change leader for a large scale transformational change being implemented in BT Global Services to introduce a completely new operating model. From February 2010 to July 2010 (6 months) London, United KingdomLondon LSP Programme Manager for Integrated Services @ BT is the Local Service Provider for London (LLSP), responsible for delivering the NHS Care Records Service across the capital. BT is helping to modernise NHS services in London with a range of products designed to meet the needs of diverse care communities.
