About Rob Parquette
💼 Past Experience
Rob Parquette grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada. He graduated from high school in 1992 and thenwent on to study forestry at the University of Western Ontario. After completing his studies, Parquette worked as a tree ranger for two summers in 1993 before moving on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1997.During his time as a law student, Parquette worked as a regional lawyer for a law firm in San Francisco. He then moved to Sacramento, CA in 1997 and worked as a personal injury lawyer. From there, Parquette moved up the corporate ladder, first working as a regional sales representative for a nationally known construction company and then becoming the regional sales manager for a construction company in San Diego.After a four-year absence from the construction industry, Parquette returned to the industry in April 2002 as the regional sales manager for the San Diego company. At the time, this was the first time that a company had hired him to manage their sales efforts in the San Diego area. After two successful years at the company, Parquette left to join the staff of the Construction Industry Training and Development Center (CITDC) in Thousand Oaks, CA as the fitness manager.At CITDC, Parquette helped produce a new program for sales managers called, “Tools for the Trade”. This program provides sales managers with tools and strategies that they can use to increase sales and grow their businesses. He also helped to develop and teach the business skills that employees need to be successful in the construction industry.In February 2000, Parquette moved to San Diego to become the Regional Sales Manager for the San Diego company. Parquette was responsible for growing the sales department by adding new sales representatives and expanding the company’s product line. He also managed the company’s marketing efforts and helped to increase brand awareness inside and outside of the company.In March 2002, Parquette left the company to go back to school and complete his law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Parquette then worked as a law clerk for two months before joining the construction industry as a sales and shipping manager for the same construction company that he had been selling for four years before.After two successful years, Parquette left the company to become a regional sales Manager at the Construction Industry Training and Development Center (CITDC). At CITDC, he helped to produce a new program for sales managers called, “Tools for the Trade”. This program provides sales managers with tools and strategies that they can use to increase sales and grow their businesses. He also helped to develop and teach the business skills that employees need to be successful in the construction industry.
