Experience
I have had a wide variety of experience in my career. Starting out as an application programmer in C and Microsoft Assembler, I also provided sales and post-sales support to a diverse customer base in computer graphics software and hardware.
I moved into systems management and custom internal software development as IT Director at a mid-sized Chicago law firm, providing technological expertise in litigation support, database development and analysis, and development and customization of business support tools.
I worked for several years as a consultant and contractor, working with ASP (VB), SQL (Oracle and Microsoft) back-end intranet web sites for a variety of corporate departments. I learned ASP.Net and Windows Forms development in support of these efforts.
I attended a part-time teaching Masters degree program and became certified to teach mathematics and computer science in grades 6-12 in Illinois, and subsequently worked in several Chicago Public Schools settings.
I returned to full-time software development in .Net and ASP.Net, in website and Windows Forms development. I have applied my knowledge in several areas (LINQ, Windows Workflows, C#, VB, MVC and MVP patterns, JQuery), in development of intra- and internet web sites.
