Richard Liang knew about streaming video and sounded like a beginner. “I was very passionate about it at the time,” Liang said.Liang learned about video encoding and decoding when he was working as an intern at Actiontec Electronics. He also worked on installing firmware on and testing the wireless connections of different router models with different firmware versions. He then extended a URL recommendation tool on the Ads team to retrieve and display entities associated with webpages of URL addresses selected by the user. Liang also learned about VoIP signaling protocols and audio processing algorithms.After his work experience at Facebook, Liang worked as an intern at Forcepoint LLC (Formerly Raytheon|Websense). He fixed bugs and addressed issues with the Triton Manager and dashboard tools. Then, he worked as a software engineer at Cisco. Liang also worked as a TEST Technician in Cisco Spark audio calls between 10+ different devices and he also learned about VoIP signaling protocols and audio processing algorithms.
