Registrar @ Manage the Office of the Registrar Functional Lead for the CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft) implementation. From April 2012 to Present (3 years 5 months) Brooklyn, NYREGISTRAR @ • Managed the Central Registrar’s Office consisting of seven full-time employees at a multi-campus, multi-state institution. • Managed the office through a major organizational change resulting from a PeopleSoft software upgrade. • Made all final decisions on the upgrade of PeopleSoft Registrar module from version 8.9 to 9.0. • Created strategies to disseminate new duties to staff properly matching each associate to their job responsibility resulting from the system upgrade. • Created training documentation and conducted training and cross training initiatives. • Dedicated time to meeting with my staff to discuss the status of the system upgrades and its affect on the office and each individual office associate. • Managed the transition of the Registrar’s Office from a non-traditional office to a traditional Registrar’s Office. This included creating strategies for bringing in Registrar functions residing in other departments to the Registrar’s Office, with limited technological and human resources. From September 2010 to August 2011 (1 year) New York, NYREGISTRAR @ • Managed the Office of the Registrar consisting of four full-time employees and one part-time employee. • Managed the office through the institution’s PeopleSoft software upgrade. • Made all final decisions on the upgrade of PeopleSoft Registrar module from version 7.6 to 9.0. • Collaborated with the consultants from Cedar Crestone on decisions for the PeopleSoft upgrade and conducted the training of the lower level staff. • Managed the Registrar’s Office staff through the initial stages of the affiliation with New York University (NYU). • Understanding the need for communication and transparency, I routinely met with my staff to discuss how the Registrar’s Office would be affected by the affiliation and eventual merger with NYU. • Facilitated the organizational change in the Registrar’s Office as the office moved to a One-Stop Shop structure. This included labor relations with the local union. • Conducted cross-training initiatives with other departments involved in the One-Stop Shop initiative. • Supervised and coordinated university registration, including but not limited to, the new process of on-line registration for all new students which I implemented as Associate Registrar • Trained all staff on the functionality of the on-line registration system. • Trained all new employees on various systems ranging from PeopleSoft to R25 Room Scheduling software. From March 2007 to July 2010 (3 years 5 months) Brooklyn, NYASSOCIATE REGISTRAR @ • • Regularly collaborated with the IT Department to implement the institution’s on-line registration system. • Supervised the implementation of Schedule25 and Resource25 Room Scheduling Software. • Revamped the entire course database to allow for ease of Resource25 implementation. • Created entire class schedule for all semesters, including On-Line Class Database, scheduled all departmental exams, and scheduled all rooms for classes and on campus events. • Conducted internal audits. Helped develop procedures to allow for an easier registration processes. • Helped develop an entirely new procedure for administering the Touro Israel Option program. The original procedure for operating this program was causing Touro to decertify Financial Aid for many students, thus costing the institution money. The procedure that I helped develop helped to limit these losses and allowed the administration of the program to be done with greater ease. • Supervised College Work-Studies and designated their responsibilities as needed. • Handled initial graduation audit of student records for Professional programs, making sure that that there were no major gaps on individual student records. If gaps were found, I researched the problems and solved them.
