Changed the entire way acoustical engineering and design is distributed to residential clients by productizing a service and distributing it through an extensive dealer network. • Marketed Rives Audio through development of many marketing tools from the company’s website, procedures, brochures, and design book which dealers use to sell the company’s services. Resulted in the company becoming the largest provider of residential acoustical engineering and design services with 85 dealers in only two years of existence. • Productized an acoustical engineering design service and distributing through a dealer network, thereby allowing dealers to have a catalog line item for the service. Resulted in attracting over 85 dealers and becoming the world leader in media room designs in two years time. • Designed an innovative audio component (PARC or Parametric Adaptive Room Compensation) system, for very high end audio systems to deal with low frequency problems in the room (caused by the room). Resulted in the PARC winning Absolute Sounds’ Golden Ear award, Stereophile’s Product of the year, and remains a class “A” recommended component by Stereophile. Received US patent (patent # 7,702,113). Resulted in market share increases for two medical equipment companies (Trex and US Surgical) with revenue of $50 million. (Patent # 5,830,219)• Led a world-class research team for a stereotactic breast biopsy research study. Resulted in a loyal group of luminary physicians which regularly wrote about the system in peer review journals and spoke about the system at mammography conferences. This resulted in greater credibility and overall image of Lorad and increased sales for the system.• Instrumental in the development of the Lorad Prone Stereotactic Breast Biopsy System, the Lorad M-IV, and the early development of the full field digital mammography system.• Inventor of 2 patents in the breast imaging field. Patent 5,706,327: Method and apparatus for mammographic compression. Patent 5,830,219: Apparatus for holding and driving a surgical cutting device using stereotactic mammography guidance.• Managed a stereotactic clinical trial consisting of 10 sites, 10 lead physicians, and over 1000 patients. Resulted in the largest study to date with the most influential physicians in mammography, over 60 peer-reviewed papers, and increased credibility and image in the market place for Lorad. • Guided and conducted initial trial of Full Field Digital Mammography under a 510k application. Resulted in company receiving approval for the protocol conducting trial and submitting trial results to the FDA.• Collaborated with sales, marketing, application specialists and engineering to develop the Lorad M-IV mammography system. This system rapidly became the market leader and remains the market leader still 10 years after its development. From August 1990 to April 1999 (8 years 9 months) Danbury, CTResearch Associate @ Transworld X-Ray Systems • Researched automatic exposure controls to develop an improved method for obtaining correct exposure. Resulted in the most accurate exposure control at that time.• Assisted in sales, advertising, marketing and training literature.
