Ricardo Mella gained his SB degree in Business Administration from Universidad San José de Guatemala in Guatemala City, Guatemala in 2016. Prior to that, he earned hisJD from the University of Utah School of Law in 2010. Ricardo started his legal career in 2007, as an assistant district attorney in the Guatemalan capital of Guatemala City. After two years of legal work, he was promoted to primary responsibility as a district trainer at the Attorney General’s Office in Guatemala City. Ricardo then moved to the United States in 2011, working in marketing and strategy for a large, international restaurant chain. In his new position, he also supervised the marketing activities of the company’s two main restaurants in the United States. He then returned to Guatemala City and opened his own law firm in 2013. Ricardo completed his post-graduate legal training at the University of Utah School of Law in 2017 and was admitted to the bar in the state of Utah in 2018.
