Trades came in from a third party source in XML format which was parsed using DOM. Object oriented structures represented the XML tree of each trade. Contents of the trade were formatted according to specification required by SQL tables downstream and were then passed onto the database. Connectivity and polling for trades were accomplished by using API methods provided by the third party source. The application maintained proper logs and generated relevant emails to notify system administrators. Developed a C# .Net web based GUI to represent relevant information of each trade upon arrival from the database. The GUI was developed using MVC4 and communicated with the database using Entity Framework. It was responsive using jQuery and Ajax. Modified and extended SQL stored procedures to implement logic pertaining to each trade before being passed on to the web GUI. Worked in a small team in an Agile environment where information was received in an ad-hoc manner and delivered results in a fast and efficient manner.
