What got Rajesh Parekh interested in computer science?While studying at St. Stanislaus Preparatory School in Mumbai, Rajesh was drawn to computer science because of the opportunities that it offered to explore fundamental algorithms, data structures and structures, machine learning, and GPU programming. Rajesh pursued his undergraduate education at Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, studying Computer Engineering from 1987 to 1991. After completing his undergraduate studies, Rajesh moved on to the Junior College in Kishinchand Chellaram College of Arts Commerce and Science. There, he completed his Higher Secondary level education in 1985. Rajesh then studied for the Interstate commerce and services Examination (JCE) in 1987 and passed with the first rank. After completing his Higher Secondary level education, Rajesh moved on to institutions like Iowa State University, where he completed his Ph.D. in 1994. The research that Rajesh undertook while at Iowa State University was focused in the areas of Computer Science and Graphics Technology - two quite important and rapidly growing fields at the time.
