As a determined and motivated individual, I rise to any challenge that I am set. Having previously worked for the largest Housing Association in the South East and now working in the private sector, I have a wealth of knowledge. I have experience in site acquisitions / market appraisals, sales and marketing and after-sales services ensuring that any service provided meets the needs and expectations of the customer.
My progression within my previous organisation equipped me with an excellent understanding of all areas of the Affordable Housing sector.
I feel that I have great leadership skills and am able to work using my own initiative as well as part of a team. I have been managing teams for over 7 years and enjoy the challenges that this brings.
I feel that I have accomplished a substantial amount over the years and have received rewards for the results I have produced. Of recent, I received the first 'Play Your Part' rewards where L&Q recognised the work I had carried out and rewarded me out of the 1100+ staff within the organisation.
In addition to this, I was nominated in the Top 30 of Young Leaders of Housing two consecutive years (2011 and 2012). This was a great achievement considering nominations were made nationally and the Top 30 applicants were shortlisted. This is something I am extremely proud of.
I am continually looking to develop my knowledge, experience and career. Since completing a Certificate in Management through the Open University, I plan to enhance my knowledge by completing a further professional qualification in the coming years. I am open to change and driven to succeed in everything that I do.
Head of Customer Services @ Having recently joined Redrow Homes as the Head of Customer Services for the South East division, I am responsible for post sales services to customers. Working closely with Construction and Sales, we deliver a full after-sales service putting the customer at the heart of what we deliver. From November 2013 to Present (2 years 2 months) Sales Services Manager @ Working as the Sales Services Manager at L&Q for over 5 years, I was responsible for a team of 16 Officers who manage a number of Aftersales and Leasehold Services. This includes a Resales service, transactions for home owners to remortgage and buy more shares, the re-letting homes and Right to Buy / Acquire. I implemented and both strategically and operationally managed the Mortgage Rescue programme, progressed sales through Rent to HomeBuy as well as Lease Extensions.
Having worked in the Sales and Marketing team for over 8 years, I have extensive knowledge and experience understanding customer needs and expectations. I was responsible for relationship management with our external providers working with financial advisors, solicitors, surveyors, EPC providers, etc as well as external companies offering services to our residents and purchasers.
Within this role, I gained experience in setting up, implementing, reviewing and reporting on sales figures / performance on a daily basis.
The customers were placed at the heart of the role and I worked hard to continually improve procedures to work smartly and provide high levels of service.
Managing a team comes with many challenges. I have experience of dealing with poor performance and rewarding good performance.
I took responsibility for budget setting, reforecasting and regularly work with our Finance team on the financial figures for the team. In a period of 10 months we moved from a cost centre to a profit centre due to a full analysis our financial accounts and changes in the way we worked.
In past roles within the Sales and Marketing division, I gained experience in all aspects of Sales. I assisted our Development team with acquisitions to ensure that they were profitable and able to sell; I drafted sales and marketing strategies, prepared Board meeting papers providing statistics, implemented a new KPI reporting facility and still remain responsible for our policies and procedures. From October 2008 to November 2013 (5 years 2 months) Sales Team Leader @ Prior to my Sales Services Manager role, I was a Sales Team Leader which meant working closely with 6 Sales Coordinators who were targetted to market and sell Low Cost Home Ownership properties. The role involved drafting Marketing Strategies, reviewing Sales statistics, reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly performance for the whole team, working with the Head of Sales to develop our policies and procedures and overseeing the performance of the team. From June 2007 to October 2008 (1 year 5 months) Sales Coordinator @ Prior to working as the Sales Team Leader, I gained extensive experience as a Sales Coordinator. I was responsible for selling Shared Ownership and Intermediate homes. This meant drafting marketing strategies with the Marketing Coordinator, working closely with my Team Leader to set targets, providing daily sales updates, progressing sales from offer to completion within 4 week targets and providing high levels of customer service to buyers, solicitors, IFAs and everyone involved in the Sales process. From February 2006 to June 2007 (1 year 5 months)
