I am currently a software/data quality/research engineer in the Strategic Technology group, as part of the Knowledge and Research product area of Google. I work on algorithms and statistical techniques to capture novel attributes and characteristics of places and business establishments from various sources of raw user-activity and location data. I build machine learning models that employ such data in ranking places for different Google front-end products, including Google Maps and Google Now.
I was a Data Engineer/Researcher for 1 year in the Google+ Analytics team. I specialized in designing/implementing experiment frameworks and experiments for social behaviors, and building machine-learning solutions for various ranking and recommendation problems.
I received my Ph.D.in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, working in the Strategic Reasoning Group of the Artificial Intelligence Lab. My research focused on the design and analysis of graphical models for multiagent systems. My work concentrated on the aspects of learning, modeling, and analyzing agent interactions.
I was also interested in understanding and modeling human interactions and behavior on social networks. I conducted e-commerce related research on modeling eBay sellers’ listing strategies and advertisers’ bidding behavior in Yahoo sponsored search. I worked with BAE systems on a study employing empirical game-theoretic analysis techniques to assess the strategic ability of a novel introduction-based routing protocol that leverages trust relationships to create incentives for nodes to avoid associating with misbehaving nodes.
