Ms. Shah has the ability to work independently; during the last two years have been managing NHI’s “ITS and Traffic Operations Training Services” ID/IQ contract with 16 task orders and thirteen subcontractors. She has held both technical and managerial positions within ITS programs operating under the auspices of large; often Statewide General Consulting (GEC) services contracts. Ms. Shah has proven hands-on field work experience and is very effective overseeing subcontractor performance. In addition, she excels in managing project finances and schedules, along with ensuring the adherence of system requirements. Ms. Shah’s dedicated work ethic and direct contributions have advanced the tolling and ITS programs of the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

Responsibilities included: assisted with the management of the consultant conducting the design of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) expressway monitoring system; assisted with the development of the ITS functional requirements for the deployment of CCTV monitoring cameras, dynamic message signs (DMS), and vehicle sensors to determine link travel times; designed conduit and fiber optic cable and network equipment enhancements; reviewed roadway design plans to help prevent conflicts with an existing fiber optic network and to assist in the planning of future ITS deployments; assisted with the deployment of service vehicle patrols to assist with stranded travelers; researched and completed Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licenses required for the integration of data collection sensors throughout the expressway roads; reviewed and commented on shop drawings submittals for the installation of conduit and Fiber Optic Manholes; invoice review and approval of OOCEA design sub-consultants; maintain, troubleshoot, and perform system configuration of single line DMS signs throughout the expressway roads.
