Redefining and re-building a product while it is growing several hundred percent y/y is like changing the machinery of a race car while driving it – insane it may sound but it is a product manager’s dream. Immense satisfaction only comes from intense challenges.- Launched Category targeting - a new targeting type in PDA. Launched the feature in 7 countries.- Launched Win Rate – a tool to help advertisers determine appropriate bids to generate the desired share of impressions. Led data management, site characterization, probabilistic modeling of seismic hazards, numerical modeling of soil-structure interaction, and conceptual design of various retrofit and replacement options.- Saved BART more than $80M in construction costs through first-of-its-kind probabilistic and numerical modeling solution that demonstrated that the submerged BART Tube between Oakland and SF did not need expensive seismic retrofits. Managed modeling of local earthquake response variation along the 2.6 miles length of the Tube.- Won and managed earthquake analytics services for 9 skyscrapers in the Middle East, notably the Al Burj Tower (proposed world’s tallest building) in Dubai, Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Abu Dhabi, and Doha Convention Center in Qatar.- Led probabilistic seismic hazard analysis for Izmit Bridge in Turkey – second longest suspension bridge in the world, and straddling the North Anatolian fault. From March 2008 to March 2011 (3 years 1 month) Oakland, CAProduct Management, Visual Search and AR @ Amazon - I was fortunate to be a participate in launching the first deep learning models that augment visual signals from the product images to the semantic DL models used in Amazon search. These new models utilize the visual information from product images to improve the search results, particularly for product categories that are more image-driven, such as clothing, shoes and fashion. The new models improved search results by improving product discovery as well as reducing irrelevant results.- Working with Stylesnap, Amazon's inspiration-driven visual fashion shopping initiative, initiated partnership opportunities with content providers for inspiring lifestyle image content to enhance Amazon's image catalog. From September 2019 to December 2019 (4 months) Palo Alto, CaliforniaStrategy Consultant, Wharton Global Consulting Practicum @ The Wharton School - Developed strategy for a $34B pharmaceuticals company to enter a new product segment with a $10B US market as part of Wharton's Global Consulting Practicum (GCP) team.- Analyzed client's internal capabilities, customers’ needs, competition, market trends and potential growth options. - Built financial models to evaluate 5 market entry strategies, including acquisition and various partnerships.
