Pierre Koetschet holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Koetschet also has a Master's of Information Science from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Koetschet has worked as a media relations professional since 1987, most recently with The Missouri Times (StL) where he worked as a managing journalist and managing editor for the print and online editions. From 1995-1997 he was a news assistant and reporter at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Between 1992-1994 he was a news research assistant and reporter at the Kansas City Star. Koetschet also worked as an editorial intern at The Elkhart Truth ( ElkHt) from 1991-1992. Koetschet has revised and written for thirteen different news publications, including The Kansas City Star, The Review-Journal (StL), The Missouri Times, and The Elkhart Truth. Koetschet has been a member of the St. Louis Press Club, the national board of the Press Club of Missouri, and has served as a delegate to the Midwest Press Congress.

He has also studied at the University of Paris, where he obtained his degree in Business Administration in 1999.Since 2001, Pierre Koetschet has been a professor at the French University of Jeonju, where he leads the Department of Economics. He is also a member of the Department of Business Administration at the University of Paris.Pierre Koetschet is a professor and a research associate at the French University of Jeonju. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of Cambridge and the University of Tokyo.

Pierre Koetschet gained his journalism degree from the University of the Philippines in 2006. In this position, he was responsible for developing, providing leadership and support to RMC Sport-Zone Turf’s online media, including publishing, managing, and/or publishing content online. As Directeur adjoint des rédactions digitales, Koetschet’s role included developing and enforcing editorial codes of conduct, managing communication and information technology, and ensuring that all websites and content were of high quality. Koetschet has been a journalist for more than 20 years, within a number of reputable media outlets. He has written for a number of international publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the New York Times, and The Observer. Koetschet has also commentaryated for a number of Canadian television networks, including CTV, CTV2, and Global TV. Koetschet lives in Montreal and is married to the journalist and driving force behind 20 Minutes, Julie Drinkwater. They have two children.
