Using Java on Android, Perl on Ubuntu at Amazon Web Services and a lot of help from my partner, I wrote these apps:

Senior Software Developer @ Appa Apps Ltd Inc is an independent producer of Android apps for education with a catalog of over 300 apps designed to teach on tablets. These apps are distributed globally through Google Play, Amazon App Store, Samsung, Huawei and Nokia.
My responsibility as senior software developer is to develop and maintain the core Java software library used in all of these apps, to design and develop new apps in cooperation with editors at Appa Apps, to develop monetization strategies, to deploy new apps, to maintain and back load newly developed capabilities into existing deployed apps, to walk apps through the quality assurance procedures at Amazon, Nook, Samsung, Huawei and Nokia, and to respond to support requests both from distributors and end users.
With over 8 million downloads and 300+ apps to maintain, I am also responsible for developing and maintaining 20K lines of Perl code which automates many features of the process of converting the sounds, images, and text into an Android app. I make extensive use of Amazon Web Services to supply the computational capabilities required to compile, package, and deliver our apps.
A typical day: Nov 5th: located a key difference between api 17 and api 18 that was causing Amazon QA to report blurred images being observed on Kindle Fire devices running our apps. Loaded the fix to Amazon Web Services, compiled all 287 affected apps and delivered them back to Amazon 4 hours later. All 287 apps were approved by Amazon the next day. Updated contact person at Huawei as to likely effect of this bug on apps delivered to them. Provided guidance to our editors in India on upcoming features I have developed which they can exploit in new apps. Conference call with UK office to discuss monetization strategy in the UK. Continued with a new feature to allow any one of our apps to dynamically download content from Amazon S3 after deployment. From August 2010 to Present (5 years 5 months)
