💼 Past Experience

I began my career as an engineer, working on products that help people take photos, transfer video, play music, and more. I have anEat: creates experiences that are healthy for you, easy to make and serve, and sustainable. The company is currently in development stage and has multiple products in the works. I have worked in the architectural industry for 10 years. After working as a Project Engineer (also as CEO, Project Manager, and Director of Architecture), I joined McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. as a Senior Project Engineer in 2006. Here, I worked on construction projects such as One Market Ethics and the Koreatown Arts District.I am currently a Co-Founder and CEO at Climate Neutral. Climate Neutral is a company that makes products to help reduce their carbon footprint. The idea for Climate Neutral came from years of attempting to sustainably grow Peak Design. It was abundantly clear that we are not going to reduce our carbon emissions quickly enough in an economy that depends on growth. I'm confident our world will almost entirely decarbonize its energy systems one day. But we need that to happen faster, and we need to do something about the CO2 we've already pumped into the atmosphere. I believe offsetting carbon footprints are a great place to start.The Senior Project Engineer at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. from June 2006 to March 2010 was a critical part of creating products that helped people take photos, transfer video, play music, and more. While working here, I learned a great deal about how we use materials and how to product design in an orchestra. Climate Neutral was founded in 2012 by two guys who were motivated by the desire to reduce their carbon footprint while still making amazing products. We are currently in development stage and have multiple products in the works. We hope to be on the market within the next few years.

Peter Dering's Background:Peter Dering is a civil engineering student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He studied at Maple Grove Senior High in 1998-2001. While at school, Peter was a unanimous first team all-conference wrestler on the varsity wrestling team. After his high school career, he attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2006. While at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Peter also won a prestigious Italian scholarshipOffering him the opportunity to study at the University of Rome, Italy. Upon his return to the United States, he continued his education by completing an M.S. in Lehman College’s business program in 2008. from 2008-2012. Peter Dering currently resides in the city of Bridgeview, IL.
