Software Development Engineer @ Fortinet - Back-end API support for our product. (Django, Mongo, Elastic Search & AWS)- Mobile version for our product (swift & ios) From September 2017 to May 2018 (9 months) SunnyvaleeCommerce Website with Search & Visualization functionality (Java, Web, MySQL) @ UCLA Designed and implemented a relational database where all relations are in Fourth Normal Form (4NF). Parsed XML eBay bidding data to the database by using Java and MySQL, and built inverted indexes by using Lucene. Built a Website that allows users to browse and search items within the eBay data and provided Google Map service to display the location of auction items to help users. From April 2016 to May 2016 (2 months) Blog Application with Django framework (Python, Django, Web) @ UCLA Implemented a blog application with Django framework in linux environment. Designed data schema, models, views, html pages, templates and url patterns for the blog (MVC). Created a super user to manage the system and implemented functionalities like post, search, reply, delete, pagination in the blog. From December 2015 to January 2016 (2 months) Smart Thermostat Modeling (Python, Matlab, Dynamic Programming) @ UCLA Modeled thermostat decision as a dynamic programming problem & Increased the total utility by 45.4%. Developed three different models for the thermostat, named traditional, rigid and optimized models. Optimized model realized increase in total utility compared to the traditional model in two steps: 1) Considered the dynamic electrical price; and 2) Considered the comfortableness of the users. From November 2015 to December 2015 (2 months) Web development based on RDB (PHP, Web, MySQL) @ UCLA - Built a Web site on movies, actors and their reviews that allows users to browse, search and edit the information of actors and movies- Managed all of the data at the back-end in a MySQL database and provided a Web interface to the users at the front-end. From September 2015 to November 2015 (3 months) My Java Forum (Java, Web, MySQL) @ UCLA - Like all forums, you can search, reply or post topics in my Java forum. If you are logged-in as an administrator, you can also modify or delete the post.- Used JSP, HTML and JavaScript to present the web at the front-end and used Java, MySQL and Tomcat Server to manage the data at the back-end. From July 2015 to August 2015 (2 months) 7-bit 2MS/s Flash ADC Design (Cadence Virtuoso) @ UCLA - Used dynamic latched comparators to lower power consumption and also used MUXs to design a pipeline structure to simplify the system.- Main properties: the SFDR was around 50dBc, DNL was 0.40LSB, INL was 0.89LSB, Clock Jitter(pp) was 2.4ns, and power consumption was lower than 0.23mW. (All data were gotten by Virtuoso simulation) From May 2015 to June 2015 (2 months) Compensation of IQ imbalance in OFDM system (Matlab, Simulink) @ UCLA - Implemented adaptive widely linear filtering algorithm to compensate I/Q imbalance in OFDM wireless communication system.- Demonstrated the functionality of the compensator based on such algorithm by using Matlab/Simulink. From April 2015 to May 2015 (2 months) Multiplier design (Verilog) @ UCLA - Designed a matrix multiplier module on Virtex 5 by using Verilog. - Decomposed complicated calculations into basic ones and designed a pipeline for obtaining a great trade-off between the system performance and size. From January 2015 to March 2015 (3 months) Game TankWar (Java, GUI, OO programming) @ UCLA Developed the game with Object-oriented and Event-driven programming concepts. Techniques: Multithreading, double buffering, collision detection. Highlights: Classic Tank-1990 like GUI, players can switch between conventional and super weapons. Designed all game with OO concept, so it is super easy to add new features & functionalities & version in the game. From October 2014 to December 2014 (3 months) Pedometer Android Application (Java, Android) @ Zhejiang University - Put your phone in the pocket when you are running and with this app, and you can know how many steps you have run. - Used multithreading technique to count steps and draw acceleration curve at the same time and used filters to get more precise result. From March 2014 to May 2014 (3 months) Software Development Engineer @ Oracle Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) Team- ODA Documentation serving & lifecycle management, In-product search, UX improvement Redwood citySoftware Engineer @ 6sense Software engineer. Working primarily on Python and Java. From September 2016 to August 2017 (1 year) 美国 旧金山湾区
