A Stanford MS student majoring in Electrical Engineering with focus on computer software systems and data mining. Interested and experienced in data mining, machine learning and database management.Data Scientist @ From May 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) Research Assistant @ Machine reading calls for programs that read and understand text, but most current work only attempts to extract facts from redundant web-scale corpora.
We focus on a new reading comprehension task that requires complex reasoning over a single document. The input is a paragraph describing a biological process, and the goal is to answer questions that require an understanding of the relations between entities and events in the process. To answer the questions, we first predict a rich structure representing the process in the paragraph. Then, we map the question to a formal query, which is executed against the predicted structure.
We demonstrate that answering questions via predicted structures substantially improves accuracy over baselines that use shallower representations. From September 2013 to June 2014 (10 months) Software Engineering Intern @ Analyzed terabytes of daily data collected from the display Ad exchange platform using Hive, Hadoop and R
Defined key performance indicators to monitor AdTech’s ability to extract maximum value from current supply channels (millions of publishers’ websites) and demand programs (campaigns from bidders)
Automated the process from Hive queries, R analysis/statistics/visualization to reports auto-filled with json data objects using PHP infrastructure. Allowed regular analyses and comparison of supply efficiency From June 2013 to September 2013 (4 months) Software engineering summer intern @ Led the Continuous Integration (CI) Automation team in designing a CI framework utilizing Jenkins
Linked Jenkins with an IBM Configuration Management Version Control repository, set up a simulation environment on a server, automated the build and unit/functional test processes, utilized gcov/lcov tool and log parser to analyze code coverage and test results as feedback to developers From July 2012 to August 2012 (2 months) TaiwanProduct management summer intern @ Supervised an energy project.
