Overall, I had a lot of fun working at Thomas and learned a lot about the HR industry. I would definitely recommend HR GENERALIST/RECruiter at Thomas to anyone looking for a challenging yet fun job.Since starting my career in Human Resources, I’ve worked in a wide range of continents and industries. I’ve worked as an HR representative for a company with over 500 employees, as an account manager in the IT industry, and most recently as a technical recruiter at a major tech company. All of these jobs have required me to work closely with employees, manage payroll, and develop HR policies and procedures. I’ve learned a lot about human resources here at various companies, and I’m confident that my years of experience will benefit my current role as HR GENERALIST/RECruiter at Thomas Publishing/Thomasnet.

Paula Kurtzman's education has spanned over 10 years, and most notably, she received her Career Development & Planning Certificate from New York University in September 2022. Past education has included a Kingsbury Bequest degree from the University of Hartford (BS in human services in 2018), and an additional 2 years of undergraduate education in communications studies from the University of Hartford, where she earned her undergraduate diploma in 2018. She began her professional career in 1989 as aSoftware Development Engineer at Apple. From there she moved on to work at Yankelovich & Associates, a securities company. From there, she moved on to Sudler & Hennessey, a leading technology company. There, she was a HR Generalist and Technical Recruiter. She has also been with Friedman Williams for 9 years, where she has held the same positions: HR Generalist/Recruiter, Technical Recruiter, and Account Manager. In that time, she has worked with many different clients, including: Thomas and Yankelovich & Associates, AirBnB, Airbnb, and many more.Overall, Paula has over 7 years of experience working in a wide range of industries and companies. She is highly skilled in a variety of fields, and is excellent at customer service. She is also a radiation therapist and has worked extensively in the medical field. Paula is a highly caffeinated individual, and her work requires her to be present constantly during day-to-day operations.
