• As Chief Information Officer for various companies, I have aligned the IT strategy with the corporate strategy to significantly reduce technology costs, increase customer satisfaction and allow management to make business decisions based on data analysis.
• I spearheaded multiple Oracle Applications ERP systems. The result of these efforts have met regulatory requirements, reduced operational costs and increased the overall quality of delivered products at various companies.
• I have developed several different IT governance and strategy groups through partnerships with key business leaders/vendors thereby influencing capital spending decisions to maximize the value of the technology expenditure.
CIO @ From October 2012 to Present (3 years 3 months) CIO @ Responsible for all IT services, managing a staff of 75 with a multi-million operating budget.
• Co-developed Keenan's benefit administration portal, "BenefitBridge". In 2011, assumed responsibility from original vendor for all development which resulted in faster time to market, greater innovation, and quality delivery of the service for over a half million members.
• Designed and implemented a property and casualty client portal, "P&C Bridge". This application received accolades from customers and contributed to a higher than average customer renewal rate.
• Initiated the replacement of two Third Party Administration claims management systems resulting in business transformation, increased operational efficiencies, improved quality measures, and deployment of Internet based self-service applications for clients.
• Implemented Business Intelligence tools, resulting in a consolidated data model that provides business analytics, predictive modeling and faster delivery of client information.
• Management of Security/Compliance that included completion of numerous SAS 70/SSAE 16 audits over 7 years, and instituting a managed/encrypted workstation architecture resulting in significantly reduced compliance risk.
• Architected Keenan's data center consolidation strategy and migration to cloud-based solutions. From May 2005 to July 2012 (7 years 3 months) Vice President Enterprise Applications @ Responsible for all Gemstar IT business applications including financials, distribution, publishing and legal for all divisions.
• Led the software selection for an ERP solution to consolidate three existing financial applications and the legacy distribution solutions, resulting in the selection of Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Managed a development team through SOX requirements gathering and implementation.
• Identified numerous improvements to the Hyperion Business Intelligence solution resulting in expanded business analytics and greater productivity gains.
• Implemented a legal contract and case management solution integrated with a document/content management solution. From November 2004 to May 2005 (7 months) CIO @ From February 1998 to December 2003 (5 years 11 months) CIO North America @ Reduced the IT operating budget by 25% in two years through renegotiation of IT contracts, vendor relationship management, and establishment of SLAs while the company grew at nearly 20%.
Implemented a comprehensive project management system aligning the requests of Marketing, R&D and Production which decreased the number of production issues, reduced a products time-to-market and redefined the software development methodology across all organizations.
Developed and co-chaired the corporate governance program for IT and capital expenditure projects.
Designed a digital asset management architecture to effectively distribute, reuse and account for VUGs intellectual property.
Established a technical mentor program with the LA School District for technical mentorship of students and assistance with hardware installation and website development. • Implemented electronic commerce solutions for clients to utilize InterWorld’s technology offerings.
• Co-developed the InterWorld Professional Services implementation methodology providing clients rapid deployment of e-commerce sites. This methodology was deployed at all clients sites following the first successful implementation.
