💼 Past Experience

In January 2007, Paul Rocco was promoted to Sales Team Leader in the Finance Division at the Institute for International Research (IR). There, he successfully sales live events to the Financial Services industry, specifically catered to Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and other Institutional Investors. Additionally, he managed accounts, transformed the sales team through organization restructuring and CRM implementation.Since leaving IRI, Paul Rocco has also worked as a sales person at IQPC from September 2009 to October 2020 (11 years 2 months). At IQPC, he was the head of sales reporting to the Managing Director. As a team leader, he developed and scaled a sales team from 0 to 30 employees and Oversaw the sales process/operations for 5 different teams. He provided a multitude of packages for live and digital events including attendance, sponsorship opportunities such as networking and branding, as well as subscriptions to a business insights/intelligence platform.Based on his experiences, Paul Rocco believes that sales are an essential part of startup culture and that selling live events to the Financial Services industry is an important part of his skillset.
