This object oriented API allows dynamically generated pages to be created based upon the interesting information in the publishing system. The application itself was written in a mixture of C and C++, utilizing STL containers. Challenging project because it involved greatly enhancing an existing and very complicated product with only limited dynamic html generation abilities to much better dynamic abilities. Other enhancements included many 1000% faster speed increases of the publishing process through performance analysis and cache improvements. From March 2005 to March 2007 (2 years 1 month) Senior Security Engineer and Application Engineer @ Developed the entire high security subsystem for the Convoii, flagship security product. This involved AES-256, RSA Public Key Cryptography, and JCE. This very secure system was used to send and retrieve messages to other people and insured that only the intended people can read the message for a specified period of time using bank grade security and a N-Cipher hardware security module to manage the keys. Also worked on the Envoii product that was purchased by Convoii. This was distributed object framework for building interactive applications built in C++, which interfaced with JNI. Setup and maintained Subversion source code control system with full LDAP authentication and security. Maintained and updated the Mac Envoii product. From December 2003 to December 2004 (1 year 1 month) Lead Software Engineer @ As a Senior Software engineer on the 2Bridge Content Server product, involved with the design and implementation of many components of the system. Developed a code generation tool to automatically create code for distributed services based on an interface description. Designed a UI framework for quickly developing interactive wizards and forms in XHTML and JavaScript. Also extended the Content Server to serve streaming multimedia content, such as Apple QuickTime, MPEG, and MP3. Served as project lead for 2Bridge's project to build an interactive web workshop for The Exploratorium. Organized schedules and milestones and served as the primary point of contact for 2Bridge. From July 1998 to February 2001 (2 years 8 months) Technical Lead Macintosh Graphics Software Engineer @ Developed Flashbox, a cross-platform a consumer oriented graphics digital photo image processing and entertainment application. Was responsible for the Macintosh port of Flashbox and its underlying technology. Developed the application framework increasing its performance on the Macintosh platform for acceptance in the consumer market. From June 1997 to June 1998 (1 year 1 month) Finder Engineer @ As a member of the Apple Human Interface Technologies Group, worked in an extremely focused team to rewrite, enhance, and debug a program called the Finder, the program that creates the desktop metaphor for the Macintosh operating and file system. Developed new integrated searching capabilities for the Finder known as Improved Find which simplified, incorporated find by content (full text), and enhanced the user interface for searching (a replacement for separate Find File Application). Also worked closely with user interface designers to develop Improved Find and Finder feature enhancements. Significantly simplified Finder's view system, which is part of the Finder Application Framework. Also integrated PowerTalk (AOCE) mail and directory services into Finder. From July 1994 to June 1997 (3 years) Macintosh Engineer @ As a primary engineer developed a distributed network Macintosh product called Imaxis. Imaxis is a document storage and retrieval system with cataloging, full text, OCR and scanning capabilities. Was involved in developing the product from design phase to shipping.
