Initially, we operated as a wholly owned independent subsidiary. Over time, however, I fully merged the teams to take better advantage of IBMs broader reach. Beginning in mid-2009, I took over as the NA Sales Leader for Cognos and also SPSS. During my tenure, sales more than doubled. Those gains were achieved by both aggressive recruitment and hiring (grew team from approx 400 to 700 professionals) and also individual productivity gains. Exceeded objectives every quarter and grew business nearly 50% annually. This was an opportunity rich territory, with limited selling and implementation skills initially. Success was enabled through aggressive hiring and partner recruitment in each of the 17 countries served. During this time period, particular emphasis was placed on data warehousing solutions, information integration and federation, and unstructured data solutions. Throughout my tenure, revenues grew from 15-25% annually.
