From August 2014 to Present (1 year 5 months) Edison Engineering Development Program Engineer @ Third rotation: Proficy Knowledge Center (San Ramon, CA) Jan. 2014 – July 2014 Proficy Knowledge Center (PKC) asset management software provides intelligent fleet management by allowing operational visibility into your fleet of assets over a standard Internet connection. • Implemented Alarms view page which displays alarms in grid view supporting ability to sort, collapse rows, add comments to an alarm, and filter alarms using HTML5 and AngularJS. • Implemented Java REST API on Spring Framework supporting Fleet View of Proficy Knowledge Center displaying special type of equipment. Second rotation: Proficy Historian HD (Foxboro, MA) May 2013 – December 2013 Proficy Historian HD is the time-series database built on Apache Hadoop providing the advanced Big Data management capabilities upon which the analytic and visual capabilities are built. • Implemented support for multi-field structure-like data type using C++. • Implemented Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) requestor for backing up Historian archive files, resolving problems with file locking by creating a read-only copy of the volume. • Set up Hadoop cluster with the latest version of Cloudera and tested Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) library to help design a new binary archive format. First rotation: Cyber Security (Foxboro, MA) August 2012 – April 2013 • Performed security assessment on three major GE Proficy products. Created threat model diagrams and worked with different teams to come up with a mitigation plan for vulnerabilities. • Enabled the integration of security testing into the development process by understanding GE IP’s product portfolio and its technologies and evaluating various security tools. Some of the tools evaluated include HP WebInspect, HP Assessment Management Platform, Sulley Fuzzer, Veracode, and Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. • Responded to reported vulnerabilities in existing products.
