From August 1984 to July 2009 (25 years) Principal Engineer @ Hardware Design, Development and Systems Engineer of telephone transmission systems- analog microwave (2 GHz & 6 GHz), T1, T2, T3 fiber optic systems, 565 Mb fiber system design. Also designed and developed multiplexers for these systems. Deployed the first commercial fiber optic systems for telephone companies and power companies in the USA. Taught classes for customers in microwave and fiber transmission systems. From 1973 to 1984 (11 years) Central Office Engineer @ Planning and deployment of microwave and wireline transmission systems for GTE telephone systems in the south eastern United States. Major systems included mid-air inter-connections with the Bell System. From March 1972 to April 1973 (1 year 2 months) Development Engineer, Advanced Technology @ Designed advanced digital and analog microwave transmission systems for western Union. Also designed digital bit error rate test equipment for deployment. The major contribution however, was for the westar Satellite system. Planned the FCC submission for approval of the launch of the satellite system and the design of receive-only earth stations around the US. Presented the submission to the FCC in 1972. It was accepted and the satellite system became a reality. From July 1970 to March 1972 (1 year 9 months) Electronic Design Engineer @ Designed process controller for the dyeing industry, The product was was developed for use in a high electrical noise environment, using high threshold logic in approximately nine months. From May 1969 to July 1970 (1 year 3 months)
