I am currently attending NYC Data Science Academy 12 week Data Science bootcamp.
Previously, I was an electrical engineering consultant in the defense and aerospace industry. I worked with teams of engineers to meet customer needs in software and hardware development, software verification, reliability and safety analysis.
I am a Binghamton University graduate with a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering. Specializations are in the field of communication and signal processing along with a focus in control systems.
Data Scientist @ SQL query scripting
Data analysis and visualization
Shiny application development
Machine learning and statistical analysis
NLP and sentiment analysis
Web Scraping
Hadoop - Map Reduce, Hive
Skillsets: R, Python, SQL From September 2015 to Present (4 months) VP & Cofounder @ I am the Vice President and Co-Founder at LLG Events Inc., a luxury full service wedding and event planning firm. I oversee the various internal responsibilities at LLG Events such as draft proposals, writing contracts, tracking expenses and coordinating the day of event. I service various events including weddings, corporate events, product launches, bar/bat mizvah's, and more. A true testament of my work ethic and drive in the industry was my ability to establish esteemed relationships with amazingly talented artists such as Tantawan Bloom and Casa De Perrin, coordinate weddings at Oheka Castle, the Hampton's, and at several opulent venues in New York City in our first two years alone. We've received many accolades throughout the wedding industry specifically in Sophisticated Weddings: New York Edition and Carats and Cake. From July 2006 to Present (9 years 6 months) Engineer @ Professional engineering consultant. Work and interact with customers from various defense and aircraft manufacturers to provide them with engineering solutions. Skills developed from my time at the Omnicon Group include:
- Integral component to the development of a set of process and procedures to perform sneak circuit analysis on FPGA's.
- D0-254 hardware development and verification. Including FPGA design, analog hardware design and sneak circuit analysis.
- Part of a team that performed software verification needed for DO-178B certification. Created independent open and closed box test procedures in DOOR's based off of system requirements. Worked with the customer to perform delta analysis on changing requirements and baselines. Team lead for code coverage using VectorCAST on embedded systems.
- Developed various modules in VHDL using Altera Quartus with simulations in ModelSim. Resigned ATE (Automated Test Equipment) into a unit that is 75% smaller and 30% the original cost.
- Performed safety analysis on multiple systems. Experience in Failure Hazard Analysis, Failure Modes and Critical Effects Analysis and Fault Tree reports. Optimized scripts for report generation, maintained database for Fault Trees to save time and money.
- Reliability analysis using Relex on multiple aerospace systems. From June 2010 to September 2015 (5 years 4 months)
Master’s Degree, Electrical Engineering, 3.7 @ Binghamton University - Watson School of Engineering From 2007 to 2012 Paul Grech is skilled in: Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Matlab, R, Python, Hadoop, SQL, VHDL, Embedded Systems, Aerospace, Works well in a team, Technical Presentations, Hive
