Responsible for all core trading systems including the matching engine, market data, order routing, market surveillance, and regulatory capture processes. From February 2012 to June 2015 (3 years 5 months) Greater Chicago AreaDirector, Match Engine Development @ Responsible for architecture and development of the matching engine at the core of CME Globex, from requirements and specifications to implementation and production support. Headed the match engine and match engine surveillance teams. From February 2009 to February 2012 (3 years 1 month) ChicagoVarious Positions, Match Engine Development @ Founding programmer on CME's nascent electronic options trading platform (Falcon).
Over the course of 7 years grew the platform from a niche options system to a full featured replacement for CME's previous electronic trading system, replicating the functionality and reliability of the existing proprietary platform on low cost commodity hardware. Hired the the Falcon match engine team, and managed a successful merger with the existing development team. From July 2002 to February 2009 (6 years 8 months) ChicagoSenior Software Developer @ Went with Parlano when it was spun off from UBS.
