I am a business leader with over 12 years of relevant experience in senior management and finance positions, including expertise in contract negotiations and execution, grant application, administration, management and reporting and overall program and project management. I have successfully designed, launched and managed large scale change management, process improvement and educational initiatives. I have demonstrated leadership skills such as developing and maintaining relationships across organizations and boundaries, facilitating consensus among diverse parties, and strong active listening, problem solving and decision making abilities.
I have navigated the seas of business and finance have now come to settle in the world of information technology. Being in software development and support within higher education, particularly MIT, offers some very exciting and unique opportunities and challenges.
My focus is communicating and coordinate activities to create strategic vision and business process for improved service transition and operations. In addition, I manage complex, highly visible, deadline-driven projects ranging from organizational planning and program development to creating and implementing standards and performance measures and standard operating procedures, and recommending and initiating changes to business process and solutions to meet customer needs. I am currently working with our customer support area, specifically the IS&T Help Desk, to design a new approach for how we support the MIT community and I am managing our desk side support teams on an interim basis while we design and build this new service.

Senior Manager, Distributed IT Resources @ I am currently serving as the senior manager for the Distributed IT Resources teams in Information Systems and Technology. These teams assist the MIT community in the application of computer technology to their work and their research. This includes providing IT support to MIT's senior level executives and their administrative staff located within the main campus, desk side support for the departments, labs and centers, hardware and software deployment and maintenance of the student learning spaces.
Having worked closely over the past few years with staff across the department to grow an IT Service Management program, including weekly change communications and our Remedy implementation, my role is to continue and build on that work with the implementation of ServiceNow for both request and incident management.
As part of my new role, I am leading an effort in conjunction with the manager of the IS&T Help Desk to create and execute a strategy to enhance the level and delivery of support we provide our customers.
