Since graduating with a degree in Economics from the University of Rome in 2007, Paolo Sironi has worked in various senior positions within IBM and the financial services industry. His most recent role has been as a Fintech Advisor, where he is currently a member. During his previous role at IBM, Paolo focused on new products and services development and innovation within the IBM Cloud platform, and he also worked on the development of IBM’s Fintech strategy. He has also been a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge’s Center for Blockchain Technologies (CBT), working on a number of projects related to blockchain technology. In addition, Paolo is also a Global Research Leader at the IBM Institute for Business Value, working on a number of projects within the field of financial technology. Paolo is also a Trustee at the London Business School, and he currently sits on the Innovation Advisory Board of Net Insurance.

Paolo Sironi is a bestselling author and finance and economics graduate of the University of Rochester in New York. He has been working as an IBM Fintech Advisor and Acting Research Manager in charge of the Research Dept. at the Financial Technology Division of the IBM European Business Machines (EBC) in Essen, Germany. In this position, he is in charge of developing and promoting the IBM Platform innovation - a software platform designed to help businesses in the financial sector run their business more efficiently.During the past two years, he has also been a part of theinfoTech Hackathon at the Berlin-based Berlin Technology Lab, where he was one of the most participating countries. In this event, he and his team developed a platform that is designed to reduce the cost of marketing in an Fintech company.In the meantime, he has been doing joint research with the London Business School and the University of Cambridge, in the area of blockchain technology. This research is focused on the use of blockchain ballots as a way to reduce fraud and corruption in local elections.In Italy, he is currently the Managing Director and founder of CAPITECTS, a consulting company with a focus on the development of new financial technologies and their impact on the Italian economy. He has been working in the Italian banking and financial industry for twenty years, and has been involved in numerous Innovation Advisory Boards.He also has experience in trade shows, lobbying, and business partnerships. He has also been part of the American delegation to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange GlobalNorth conference in March of this year.
