Pamela Pavliscak's work experience includes Developing user experiences for technology companies and agencies. She has experience with Affective Computing, Digital Culture, and Future Industries of the Internet. In her previous roles, Pamela has helped develop user experiences for technology companies and agencies. She has worked with these industries in various capacities, most notably as an emotional design consultant. In her time as a consultant, Pamela has helped design user experiences that improve the quality of user experiences across various contexts.Pamela is also an author and committee member for the IEEE Standards Association. She has worked on standards-related projects for the past five years, and has experience working with various technology companies. Pamela also has experience teaching people about user experience research and design. For her teaching at Parsons School of Design - The New School, she is working on a course on user experience research and design.Outside of her work with technology companies and the standards-related industry, Pamela has also worked on user experience research for other organizations. In this capacity, Pamela has contributed to projects for the Harvard Library, the New York Public Library, and the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her MS in Information Science and Human Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan in 1996. Pavliscak has worked as an information science and human computer interaction teacher since October 1994. Her most recent position is as the Assistant Professor of Information Science and Human Computer Interaction at the University of Mississippi. She is a member of the proofreading, editing, and promotion committee of the journal "International Journal of Educational Technology".

Her work has focused on the interpretation, management and presentation of digital and mobile experiences. She also has experience in the fields of, user experience, digital culture, and future industries of the internet.Pavliscak has been working in the PRATT INSTITUTE since she joined the organisation in 2015. There she will be working on the technical team responsible for developing new emotional design methods and medicines for use in digital and mobile experiences. Additionally, she will be working on the creation of Society and Culture experiences for the organisation's user base.Outside of work, Pavliscak enjoys spending time with her family and making art. She has a contingent of two cats who she refers to as her " informal garden."
