Graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Pharmacology from University College London, for which I was awarded the UCL Postgraduate Scholarship and nominated for the Dean's List. Specialisation in Neuroscience and Behaviour, including modelling of neurones at a molecular level. Currently pursuing Biochemical Engineering (MSc) at the same university with a focus on Biopharmaceuticals. I created a review of the project and presented the results to the Department of Pharmacology. Organised and attended the annual conference of the International Society for Research on Impulsivity. From June 2014 to August 2014 (3 months) Cambridge, United KingdomResearcher @ Investigated the role of the P2X7 receptor in the regulation of intestinal glucose transport. From January 2014 to April 2014 (4 months) London, United KingdomStudent Consultant @ Undertook a Student Consultancy project with Tech start up company ‘Daddy Donkey Labs’ in order to help launch the new charitable app ‘Snowgoose’. Roles involved evaluating which charities could benefit from Snowgoose, approaching them and setting up pitch sessions with potential customers. From October 2013 to January 2014 (4 months) London, United KingdomIntern @ Worked as an assistant for different specialists, creating summaries and relevant case studies from scientific papers to be used in a Risk Communication in Food Safety guide for a layman audience. I organised discussions with other interns to provide peer-reviewed case-studies to the specialists. Contacted members from agencies, such as the World Health Organisation, to participate in the production of the manual. Time management and systematic organisation were crucial during the internship.
