From October 2010 to August 2012 (1 year 11 months) Mexico City Area, MexicoEngineering Section Head @ • Regional Engineering: role leading a regional engineering group within 5 main areas: 1) Capital management: regional comptroller for capital executions, double digit million dollars capital portfolio involving also regional capability both in capital and project management; 2) Packing Innovation: this group is leading our innovation & developmental equipment/technical packaging area to support business future requirements; 3) Regional program: liquids program execution team to install 3 new liquids facilities across LA; 4) Low cost program: this team is devoted to globally offer low cost solutions in the packaging areas to reduce capital cost. This team is based in Brazil giving me the opportunity to have an international engagement, multicultural experiences and technology definitions; 5) Global technology ownership: through this assignment I had global responsibilities for packing definitions for our fabric and home care business, giving me the opportunity to interact with P&G packing program managers around the globe, helping them to choose the best solutions for their business at the most affordable business proposition From August 2007 to September 2010 (3 years 2 months) Mexico City Area, MexicoOperations Manager St Louis Plant @ This is an expatriate position handling 150 technicians and 10 managers and the production of double digits in millions of cases. The challenge in this operation has been the implementation of basic manufacturing conditions towards excellence. From December 2003 to July 2007 (3 years 8 months) Operations Manager @ •Operations Manager / Loss elimination program owner: Responsible to lead the biggest detergent operation in the world, regarding the production of 30 million cases and the administration of more than 15 managers, 400 technicians and 25 million dollars in budget. During my executions in operations we have reduced the total delivery cost in 20% in a 3 years period and manufacturing cost in 25% with the implementation of manufacturing excellence programs. Also I am in charge of the loss elimination program in the plant delivered already 60 million in savings.
•Operations Manager / Quality assurance: During 2 years I was on charge of one of the production areas of the plant, this assignment involves the management of: double digit numbers in millions of dollars of annual budget, product supply excellence for the production of eleven million cases, 11 managers and 250 technicians, all the success criteria in the pasts years has been achieved successfully; also I was in charge of the plant quality program with excellent results (2001 to2002). From February 2001 to November 2003 (2 years 10 months) Mexico City Area, MexicoVarious @ •Engineering Manager: The objective of this assignment was the proper implementation of the capital projects in the plant. This implies the managerial administration of capital resources: double digit numbers in millions of dollars investment in a 3 year time period, 30 direct report people and 700 contractors, for the definition, execution and start up of more than 40 projects. Main achievements are a 10% reduction across capital expenditures, saving projects for more than 7 MM USD in operative costs, and 100% projects successfully implemented (1998 to 2001).
•Project Manager: The objective of this assignment was the integration of an acquisition plant, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, into the P&G environment. Project objectives were a formula standardization and implementation of P&G standards. Project management and managerial skills utilized to administrate the technical definition and project execution of this project (1997)
•Operations Department Manager: Assignment included the operations administration of a fully installed detergent Unit (agglomeration). Production scheduling maintenance, production execution and organizational requirements were basics for the operation. This Unit was ranked as #1 reliability unit inside P&G. (1995-1997)
•Start Up Manager: Technological activities related to the start up of a double million number project. Main responsibilities aimed to managerial skills to plan and execute start up activities of a full operational production unit. (1993-1995)
•Production Manager: Shift supervisor for warehouse production area (1992-1993) From February 1992 to 2001 (9 years)
