💼 Past Experience

Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Onur Turna has worked in the software industry since 1996. From 2006 to 2009, Onur was a product manager at Google Earth. In 2010, he joined Civicsolar, a startup focused on providing solar equipment and services to contractors. Civicsolar soon became a rapidly growing solar e-commerce startup, focusing on providing solar equipment and services to contractors.In May 2011, Onur was hired as the 6th employee at Google. He led the product team responsible for developing and launching the company’s e-commerce products and growth for large scale retailers. In September 2017, he led the product growth team from inception to a team of 14, responsible for e-commerce products and growth for small to medium scale retailers. At Inveon, Onur was a senior product manager responsible for developing and implementing key features for the company’s e-commerce products and growth in the early-stage investment fund.Apart from his work experiences at Civicsolar and Google, Onur has also provided product management and growth experiences at myGini,Inc. 🎓 Education

Onur Turna has a graduate degree in finance from University of California, Berkeley. He also has a graduate degree in MBA, High Honor from Bilkent University. Turna started his career in financial consulting. He then became a corporate officer at a Turkish technology company. He then joined Google as a corporate officer in Turkey. In October, 2013, he came to Google as the Vice President for Corporate Investment in Turkish GMB Group. He terminated his contract on December 17, 2013. In March, 2014, Turna started a business development consultancy firm called Blue Ocean Consulting. This firm was registered on April 2, 2014. The firm's first client was the Turkish Holding Company. Blue Ocean Consulting is currently in its first year of business operations and has so far been able to provide a service to two clients.
