Octavio Arambula is a degree marketing management graduate from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), where he earned a diploma in marketing in 1987 and a degree in marketing management in 1991. Arambula has been working in the marketing field since he earned his degree and has since had many successful careers in the industry.in 1987, Arambula earned a diploma in marketing from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). Since then, he has had many successful careers in the industry, including working as a marketing professor at Universidad de Chile (2004-2008), at Universidad Católica del Chile (1988-1994), and as marketing director for a Chilean food manufacturers’ cooperative in 1998-2002. Arambula is also professor for marketing at the Catholic University of Chile (2008-present). In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Arambula is also a member of the executive board of the Chilean Association of Olympic and Paralympic Chairs (2010-present) and the executive board of the Chilean Confederation of unethical businesspeople (2018-present).Arambula has also been involved in various professional organizations, including being chair of the editorial board of the journal Marketing Research (2007-present), a member of the editorial board of the journal Business Research (1998-2004), and a board member of the Chilean Marketing Institute (2002-2006). Arambula has also been a keynote speaker at international marketing conferences, including the conference on intelligent marketing in Asia (2001), the international conference on advertising research (1996), the annual meeting of the Latin American Marketing Association (1994), and the international conference on pricing and supply management (1991). Arambula also has a passionately interested in social issues, and has given presentations about marketing research and business design at different levels of education and to business executives from both Chile and abroad.Arambula has received numerous awards and accolades from the industry, including being a recipient of the prestigious AIME award in 1998 and being awarded the Chilean Order of Merit (Chefe de oficina) in 2006. Arambula is also a member of numerous professional societies and has been awarded numerous honorary degrees from a variety of institutions. Arambula is completely dedicated to his work, and takes great pride in his accomplishments in the industry and in his significant role in shaping marketing research and business design in Chile.
