Computer Vision Engineer @ From September 2015 to Present (1 month) San Francisco Bay AreaComputer Vision Intern @ PreNav is developing a commercial drone system to help organizations inspect and maintain their infrastructure, beginning with tall structures like cell phone towers and wind turbines. PreNav is focused on automating flight in close proximity to industrial structures, and using precise positioning capabilities to build engineering-grade 3D reconstructions of the assets.
Some of my Projects included:
1. Development of algorithm for Pose estimation of a Quadcopter using single view geometry: The algorithm takes advantage of the known 3D dimensions of the quadcopter and uses a mix of 2-D ray intersection method and OpenCV's solvePnP method to estimate the depth, yaw and pitch of the robot.
2. 2-D tracking of the Quadcopter using visual markers: LED rings on the robot act as visual markers, a region of interest is selected, processed and tracked throughout the flight to achieve robust and accurate tracks.
3. Unit-test for error checking in a simulated environment: Used the Morse environment which works on the blender game engine for simulating the flight process and to evaluate the performance of the algorithm based on the error metric.
4. Creating a cube map from a Spherical Image. From May 2015 to August 2015 (4 months) San Francisco Bay AreaGraduate Student @ From January 2014 to August 2015 (1 year 8 months) Greater Los Angeles AreaIntern @ Tested peripherals for LPC2138/2388 Development boards using Keil.
Simulated various Project Applications on Proteus.
Developed Codes for basic functioning of the ARM 7 uProcessor using RTC’s, External Interrupts and Timers. From July 2013 to August 2013 (2 months) Mumbai Area, IndiaElectronic Lead @ Competed at Formula Student Design Competition, Germany. Aug 2012.
Electronic System Development
32 Channel Data logger at 120 Hz per channel with USB OTG using a dsPIC controller.
Driver Interface Unit with RPM meter,Gear indicator and Speedometer.
Centralized telemetry system to transmit live data to user over a range of 1km@ 60 Mb/s
Power distribution Unit. From July 2011 to July 2013 (2 years 1 month) Mumbai Area, India
