From March 2008 to January 2011 (2 years 11 months) Leakage & Validation Technician @ I worked on the large drinking water 'trunk' mains (12" to 60" diameter) carrying out: leak detection including leak pinpointing correlating, assisting with repairs on the mains, valve operations, mains shuts, valve proving, pipe track inspections and tunnel walk inspections surveying mains for intergrity and operability, flow probe installation/removal and maintenance, operating Ruby and Rubet valve turning machines and equipment. I also worked as a seepage technincian solving complex cases of water ingress/egress where sources of the problems where not found using conventional methods. Leakage detection on the drinking water mians network by way of open sounding and correlating to pinpoint leaks. Network mains and valve validation including step testing, pressure testing and flow testing district meters, pressure Zero tests, zonal boundary valve and district boundary valve proving. Leak detection logging and point of interest follow-ups. Domestic and commercial customer side leak proving, detection and pinpointing.
