Nic Cober is a law graduate from University of California, Berkeley, where he received his B.A. in 1988. Eager to continue his education and capitalize on his liberal arts skills, he attended Howard University in 1993-1996, where he earned his Doctor of Law (J.D.) cum laude.As a law graduate, Nic has set his sights on a career in the legal field. After completing his education and practicing law for nearly 10 years, he has seen first-hand the need for legal representation in most personal and professional decisions. Nic has since developed an interest in education, and has decided to enter the field of education activism.In 2000, Nic founded the American Bar Association's (ABA) Lawyer Education program, dedicated to helping law students planning to obtain their BAR (B.A.) or J.D. at a lower-tier university be prepared for the legal profession. The program provides resources and support for Lawyer Admissions Counselors (LACCs), helping law students with their admittanceNZ process. In addition to providing legal assistance, LACCs teach the importance of a well-rounded legal education and the social and environmental justice challenges of the legal profession.As a law graduate and Activist, Nic has many years of experience to offer those interested in getting involved in the field of education. His background in education activism and his passion for helping law students prepare for their legal careers make Nic an ideal candidate to chair the Board of Directors for the American Bar Association's (ABA) Lawyer Education program.Nic Cober likes to think of himself as an education Advocate.
