Nelson Pedreiro's education and work readiness background is based on his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University, as well as his BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA in 1982. Nelson has also held several job roles in the airline industry, starting with employment as a Flight Engineer with Argentine Airways in 1988. During his time at Argentine Airways, he developed a specialty in Aeronautical Engineering which he later brought to American Airlines in 1992 as an Aeronautical Engineer - responsible for design, development and superiority of American Airlines' jet engine products. From 1992 to 1997, Nelson Pedreiro was also a Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Stanford University. There, he continue to lecture and write on the principles of Aerospace Engineering. Nelson is currently a professor and Dean of the graduate school at the University of Minnesota. Nelson's current research focus is on the design, development and superiority of digital power systems in aircraft.
