In this role she was responsible for assessing and managing the social impact of visa projects across the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this, she was also responsible for lead-sustainability and project management at PepsiCo, a global food and beverage company. In this role, she was responsible for developing and implementing environmental labeling policies for PepsiCo’s global brands and overseeing the company’s public efforts to promote sustainability. Additionally, Muna Ali was also responsible for conducting market research and developing PepsiCo’s social media strategy.From January 2016 to January 2019, Muna Ali was the Vice President & Asia Pacific Head - Social Impact at Visa. In this role, she was responsible for leading and empowered Visa's social impact teams across the regions of the Asia-Pacific. At Visa, Muna Ali was a driving force for developing and implementing strategies to pursue social impact across all sectors of the company. She was also responsible forcollaborating with other departments within the company to pursue social impact objectives. In this role, Muna Ali was a driving force for Electronic Data Processing (EDP) sustainability initiatives, driving Safeguard’s transformation from an off-the-shelf software to a software designed to improve efficiency and stewardship of EDP data. Additionally, she was pivotal in developing and implementing an EDP risk management program, which helped to secure $2 billion in risk Mitigation Payment Program (RMP) commitments from Visa.Muna Ali has a background in Public Policy which she developed through her undergraduate studies at the University of Queensland, Australia.
