Manager of Faculty and Postdoctoral Affairs @ In my current role, I am the Manager for Post Doc and Faculty Affairs within the Department of Psychiatry at Yale. My responsibilities range from hiring all ladder/non-ladder track faculty members, voluntary faculty, visiting faculty, and post docs/post grads. I am also in charge of reappointing or terminating each faculty/post doc as their term is nearing the expiration date. Post docs/post grads are to be reviewed yearly dependent on funds, while faculty members range from one year to three year terms. A large part of this job is responsible for writing offer letters to the appointed candidate and determining salary based on experience and degrees. From May 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) Senior Administrative Assistant @ Assured onboarding of new employees for Yale Cancer Center’s Clinical Trials Office (CTO). These tasks included: ID, parking, work station equipment, request for computer access, office phone/cell phone set up, order supplies, register for proper training, & introduction to staff. Reviewed resumes and schedule interviews with the appropriate staff members. Served as applicant’s point of contact throughout the hiring process, along with writing job descriptions and decline letters to candidates. Planned the use of facilities, including: office space, work stations, equipment, technology needs and office supplies. From March 2013 to May 2014 (1 year 3 months) Assistant Registrar @ Served as principal source of information to students, staff, and faculty on policies, procedures and office activities for Yale's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Co-handled responsibilities with Registrar for stipend, tuition, and health entries for all PhD students into the Graduate School Payment System. Solely managed all Masters of Science funding. Coordinated admissions processes and activities by scheduling committee meetings, reviewing applications, creating and maintaining applicant databases, and extracting statistical data for reporting. Worked with co-workers and management to provide recommendations on how to better the company’s business capacity through menu suggestions and personnel recommendations.
