The TIL are then activated and expanded ex vivo and then infused back into the patient to fight their tumor cells. VentureKick has provided over $500,000,000 in funding to 300 new businesses since its inception. From January 2014 to December 2014 (1 year) Chief Business & Financial Officer, Sr. Vice President @ Primary functions included creation and execution of the strategic plan of VirtualScopics including pursuing new market opportunities, financing (strategic and institutional) and business arrangements.
Responsibilities included overseeing all legal, intellectual property, business and financial related matters, as well as ensuring compliance with financial and SEC reporting requirements. Including leading the Company’s investor relations activities, preparing and coordinating all of VirtualScopics external communications, including press announcements and routine visits New York City and other key cities throughout the US conducting road shows as well as frequent presentations of the Company and its technology at key life science investor conferences. Accomplishments included raising five rounds of funding in equity funding with leading pharmaceutical and private equity firms and instrumental in emerging VirtualScopics from an early-stage university spin-off company to a profitable, publicly traded company doing business with the largest pharmaceutical and medical device companies in the world.
Ms. Henderson has guest lectured at The Simon School (University of Rochester’s Masters in Business Administration program) and the University at Buffalo’s Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Ms. Henderson was a finalist for the CFO of the Year in the public company category and a recipient of the ‘40 Under 40’ award hosted by the Rochester Business Journal. She is the Treasurer, Board member and Finance committee chair of Continuing Developmental Services (CDS) a non-profit agency focused on providing services and housing for the mentally disabled.
