💼 Past Experience

Mohamed Ayman Daef, founder and CEO of BONIAN misr Architects, has had over 15 years of experience in the Architects and Urban Planning field. Beginning his career as a research associate at the Egyptian research company Abydos in 1995, Mohamed Ayman Daef soon became the acting project coordinator and project head for several large-scale Egyptian architectural and urban projects before becoming the CEO and founder of BONIAN misr Architects in 2001.In his role as CEO of BONIAN misr Architects, Mohamed Ayman Daef focuses on developing and managing projects across a wide range of sectors, including architecture, environmentalism, planning and urbanism. He has overseen some of the most high-profile Egyptian architectural and urban projects, such as the construction of the new Cairo's Blue Mosque and theopening of the Aswan Dam.Outside of his work at BONIAN misr Architects, Mohamed Ayman Daef has also been involved in several other notable projects in the Egyptian architectural and urban industry. He is also a member of the board of Chancellors at Egyptian Russian University and a member of the research steering committee of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

🎓 Education

Mohamed Ayman Daef is a professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and also has a PhD from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Daef has authored and published several papers in various scientific journals and is a member of a number of professional associations. Daef is currently working on a project titled " architectural public programming with the agile method" which is an attempt to rethink the role of architects in public programming. Daef is also interested in educational reform and has been working on a project titled " A review of educational reform proposals for the Middle East" which is an attempt to develop a Galenic approach to education in the Middle East.

Mohamed Ayman Daef holds a degree in Architecture and a diploma in e-commerce, e-commerce development, and online marketing from the Faculty of Architecture, Politecnico di Torino.
