She has been a teaching Fellow at the same SEPM-designated Institut National Polytechnique Fédéral (INP) where she teaches the Electric Engineering and Control Theory classes.Nguyen has been working on developing new and innovative technologies and systems for over 20 years. She has a strong understanding of how electricity works, how it is used and how it can be used to solve problems. She is also an experienced project manager and is able to work independently and as part of a team. Nguyen is Professor of Electrical Engineering and professor and leader of the Electric Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Austin.Nguyen is also a Research Fellow at the International Center of Advanced Power and Communications research (I-CAPP), located in Italy. She has been working on a project to develop an ultra-wideband power management system for oil and gas equipment. In her work with I-CAPP, she has developed the first international standard for a wideband power management solution for oil and gas equipment. This work is sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Energy and Economic Affairs and the Italian National Research Foundation.
