From May 1989 to March 1992, Mike Shepelak was a Human Resources Director at Strategic Resources, Inc. (SRI). At SRI, he was responsible for all aspects of employee Personnel management, including employee hiring, evaluation, salary and benefits, as well as staffing and HRIS. He also headed up the human resources department's anti-discrimination efforts. In his tenure at SRI, Mike Shepelak achieved several significant successes. Among these, he was responsible for increasing the number of hires from existing employees to almost 2,000, increasing the rating of employees from excellent touty and increasing the percentage of female employees from 20% to 50%. Additionally, he led the development of a human resources education program and instituted initiatives to modernize the organization's payroll system.outranking all other Large Technology employers in the region.In December 2019, Mike Shepelak took a two-year leave of absence from his position as Director HR -Americas at SWIFT to begin a new position at Coherent Communications System Corp/Tellabs. In his previous job, he was quoted as saying, "I think that my experience with HR and Benefits will be a valuable asset to the team at Raytheon. I have a deep knowledge of how to manage employee relations and make sure that our employees have all they need to meet the demands of their job."Overall, Mike Shepelak has had a long and varied career in human resources management, providing supervised and Supervising Employee Personnel and HRIS, developing human resources education programs, as well as implementing all aspects of employee management at several large technology companies.
