💼 Past Experience

Mike Rynas grew up in a family of 14 with a love of learning. He started his career in education and worked his way up through the ranks at his former employer, a local university. After leaving his work position, Rynas started his own construction company. He has experience in a wide range of construction projects, both large-scale and small-scale. His expertise andPortland experience has given him a strong depth of understanding of the industry and a deep understanding of the people who operate in it.Rynas’s first set of construction experiences were in the Portland, Oregon suburbs of Tigard and Salem. He worked on beautiful, modern homes and worked on a variety of construction projects from design to construction. After a few year hiatus, he returned to the construction industry and became a Consultant at Rynas Consulting. This has been his full-time career since then. He is also a Past President of the Board of Directors for NAMI Eastside, a not-for-profit organization serving Portlanders with mental health challenges.

Mike Rynas has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. He also has a BS from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Mike Rynas has been with J.P. Morgan & Company, where he has held a number of positions including one as President, Vice President, and Treasurer. He has also been with Drexel Burnham Lambert where he was President and CEO from 2006 until his firing in January 2007.
