Constantly striving to improve my technical skills as I am extremely passionate about cutting edge technologies and start-ups.Headhunter @ Involved in recruiting talented peers for our clients in areas including Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Investment Management, Operations, IT, Science, Engineering, HR and more. From August 2013 to Present (2 years 3 months) Summer Intern @ The purpose of this study was to understand the cognitive, physiological and affective aspects of user search goals. We consider these goals to be higher-order representations of user behaviour aimed at satisfying the user's information need. In other words we want to examine the question of "why" users are performing searches rather than "what" they are searching for. Therefore we would need to create or utilise a taxonomy of user search goals. Incidentally a seminal paper on the subject was written by Andrei Broder which classified three user intent: Informational, Navigational and Transactional. I managed to create a methodological framework based on the work of Arapakis, Moshfeghi, and Jose which utilised the Facial Expression analysis software InSight SDK provided by SightCorp, physiological features such as galvanic skin response, skin temperature, heart flux recorded by a SeanseWear armband and build a custom search engine user interface, using Twitter Bootstrap, Django, and the Bing API. Unfortunately due to time constraints the framework was not tested on user but will hopefully be in operation at a later date. This affective research could lead to better user modelling, in the form of user simulation which accounts for user intents through affective factors. In addition this could provide a framework for improving query intention prediction and recommendation.
