Managing Director - Europe @ For many years I had the fortune to lead our European Surface Transportation division. A geographically and culturally diverse organization of great people, bound together by a common vision, technology and values. My responsibilities included overhead oversight and fiduciary responsibility for the region. Through a variety of talent, technology and organizational design initiatives we achieved sustainable success as a pan-European truckload freight forwarder, an exceptional achievement for an American logistics company. During that time we expanded from 140 people in 10 locations across 6 countries, to over 600 people in 30 locations across 12 countries. Leveraging my professional experience and background in organizational behavior we implemented initiatives in the following areas:
• Talent strategy and leadership development
• Technology alignment, development and integration
• Business intelligence and analysis
• Organizational design and role alignment
• Buyer aligned sales and account management
• Organizational efficiency
Highlights of what we accomplished include:
• Established real-time, integrated capacity trading between locations across the continent
• Gross revenue growth of over 350%
• Net income increase of over 700%
• Efficiency gains of over 30%
• Expanded portfolio from three to nine services
• Construction of sustainable regional executive team
