PUBLICATIONS
Responsible for creating and producing the two membership publications of the CII and PFS which jointly reach our 115,000 members across 150 countries.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Currently the CII Group reaches more than 70,000 people through its various social media channels including Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Created the #CIIGroup Twitter account in December 2010. It provides information from both the CII and the PFS and currently has more than 8,000 followers as of July 2015.
Responsible for the official CII LinkedIn group profile (The Chartered Insurance Institute) which has more than 35,000 members as of July 2015 after stagnating at 1,000 members at the start of 2011. The group has grown massively and now provides an excellent forum for CII and PFS members to discuss many varied topics with each other including sector issues and debates on CII exams and services.

Have project managed the launch of the new CII jobs site, a member benefit which has the USP of ensuring that CII members are prioritised during employer search. Managed a team of three, a deputy editor, a reporter and a sub-editor.
Responsible for the production, commercial and strategic direction of the magazine. This included developing, helping to organise and hosting an awards ceremony for 500 members of the broking community; being in charge of the supplement programme; overseeing the Insurance Age website; and being in control of the content and strategic direction of the Broker Expo, a very successful business event created for brokers by myself.
Built a contacts list of over 2,000 people, including top chief executives, from the insurance industry making me highly respected within the sector.
Created and marketed the Broker Expo in 2005 after seeing a gap in the market – an event for brokers – attracting hundreds of delegates from all over the UK. Stayed in charge of the whole overall strategy and direction of the event until I left the firm.
Under my editorship the magazine was shortlisted three years in a row for the highly competitive national PPA Magazine awards. The only magazine in my division to gain this achievement.
Worked closely with the sales team to ensure that the magazine made the most of its commercial opportunities while maintaining its editorial intergrity. Created ideas such as the online Broker Forum Regulation Zone and Schemes Zone, which were all sponsored by providers for long periods.
